Overview map:

The
weather forecast for Thursday looks hot & dry, so let's assume we start at Union Station about noon; how about this for a route:
From Union Station, go
south to Harbour Square then
west along Queens Quay to Bathurst. Along Queen's Quay there's Harbourfront Centre, the police marine unit, a sailing / paddling school, some interesting gardens, and even a mini Stone Henge! There are food stalls and a couple of bars along there too, so we can easily find food & refreshments.
At Bathurst, we can either go south to the Island Airport (ferry is free), west through coronation park (not much to see here) and the exhibition grounds, or north past Fort York to get back into the downtown hustle. Depending on time, interest & energy, we can head along King West / Queen West and check out some of the Contact exhibits, or whatever people fancy doing.
I know John wants to head to Lone Star for dinner (it's at
Front & Simcoe) then take the
ferry over to Centre Island for some sunset shots. [Google maps doesn't know we can cut through the Convention Centre to get straight to Lower Simcoe St.]
The ferry costs $6.50 (return),
departs every hour and half past; last ferry back is 11:45pm!
*
Sunset is about 8:45pm, so we should be at our sunset spot by 7:30/7:45pm - that would mean catching the 7:00pm ferry.
Alternatively (or maybe as well, depending on timing) we could do the CN Tower - it's
$27 each for the "Observation Sky Pod Experience" (Look Out + Glass Floor + Skypod)
Now you've got it.
Is Kerri working tomorrow?
I don't think Kerri's working tomorrow - not sure but she's out at the moment.
